A brief introduction to the association

At Œuvre fédérale Les Amis des Aveugles et Malvoyants ASBL- The Friends of the Blind and Visually Impaired Federal Charity-, drawing on our long experience and driven by our commitment to offer high-quality resources and facilities, we have developed an integrated range of therapy and support services unique in Belgium.
These services are used by visually impaired people, both adults and children, based on their needs and how advanced their condition is. This offering is characterised by the complementarity of the various departments: social services, special support service, the rehabilitation centre, adapted transcription centre and two guide dog training centres, one in Mons (Ghlin) and one in Koksijde. We also run a residential service for adults specially tailored to people with low vision.
The association is also well known for providing audio descriptions for films and exhibitions in both French and Dutch and improving access to culture.
